I wanted to climb into the music like a blanket. It was
recorded on a Charles Walter upright piano in my living room in
Portland, Oregon. This was the first piano I ever purchased and
recorded. My dog Kaya can be heard on multiple
songs doing her thing in the background. She used to sleep while I
played. Many years later, this album was the soundtrack to her
passing. I found myself in the room and the immediacy
of the moment that, in some ways, never left.
